Training starts again at Reading Abbey Rugby Club Sunday 1st September 2013 for minis (U6 to U12).

Reading Abbey RFC is one of the leading Clubs for Mini rugby in Berkshire. We offer children from U6 to U12 the opportunity to learn how to play rugby in a safe, enjoyable and fun environment.

All Head Coaches are qualified by the RFU and ALL coaches/officials are CRB checked.

The Club is affiliated to the RFU and our local Premiership teams, London Irish and London Wasps.

All Mini rugby takes place on a Sunday morning, with a mix of training and matches against local teams. Abbey Minis enter a number of Rugby Festivals through the season, culminating with the Abbey Shield, our own tournament held in March. where over 1,500 people attend to play, watch and enjoy Mini rugby played in fantastic surroundings.

Abbey is also hosting this November the Premiership Rugby Land Rover Cup competition for U11s and U12s.

Abbey RFC is always looking for new players, we welcome both boys and girls and the first 4 weeks are free for new players to test our rugby. Girls can play with boys in mixed teams up to age group U12s but we also have a separate girls’ section.

The first training session is on Sunday September 1st starting at 10am – please arrive on time. If you require more information, please contact the Dave Robinson on 07734 296910.
