Reading Abbey 24 Maidenhead 29

A superb first half performance, coupled with a stirring late rally, gave Abbey a deserved losing bonus point against high-flying Maidenhead in an entertaining game at sunny Rosehill.

The home side led 17-0 in first half stoppage time and battered the visitors’ line in the dying minutes of the game, but ultimately they were made to pay for a largely disappointing second half performance, during which Maidenhead scored four tries.

Abbey were without star …

Reading Abbey 47 Bletchley 19

Reporter Mark Hoskins

Abbey recorded a comprehensive victory over visitors Bletchley, scoring seven tries to one on a sunny afternoon at Rosehill.
