Thames Valley Farmers Market Cooperative regularly has farmers markers at The Cattle Market, Great Knolly Street, Reading.

They are held on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month.

Tesco Express to replace The Star pub Caversham?

Tesco is rumoured to be expanding its Tesco Express shops in Reading further and one of the possible sites is The Star pub, in Lower Caversham, the freehold of which is currently up for sale.

Apparently Tesco has refused to confirm or deny the rumours.

Neighbours and locals say meetings have taken place between the pub owner Enterprise Inns and Tesco but there is no evidence available to support this.

Caversham Traders Association Christmas Competition

In the run-up to Christmas, Caversham Traders Association (CTA) is running a special competition for all the family to enjoy. TV gardener Chris Beardshaw to talk to Caversham gardeners

TV gardener Chris Beardshaw is coming to Caversham this week to talk to Caversham gardeners.

He will meet members of Caversham Horticultural Society on Wednesday, October 6, at 7.45pm.
