The RSPCA has confirmed that a fox killed a cat in Scott Close, Caversham.

As a resident of the Buggs Bottom area, there seem to be a growing number of foxes in the Caversham area. They are very noisy at night at can often be seen walking along the streets.

Reading Borough council has 7 4X4 vehicles to help the vulnerable in this extreme winter weather.

Vulnerable people or their carers can phone the Council’s response team on 0118 955 3600 if they have any urgent needs.

If you know of any vulnerable people, especially old people, please be a good neighbour and check on them. See if they are okay or need any help.

According to the Met Office severe, heavy snow and ice is expected.

Let’s hope that Reading Borough Council actually prepares properly as this has been long predicted.  There is nothing to date on its website!

Are the gritting lorries out already?

We’ll see this time or await pathetic excuses again.

Very good move by RBC doing both types at once as having to wait another week or more for the emptying of our normal bin would have been a complete nightmare.
