In Memoriam – Sgt Barry Weston, a Marine

Barry Weston was born in Reading and played youth rugby at Abbey RFC during the decade of 1981- 1991, when he left to become a marine. His death in Helmand Province  on Tuesday 30 August whilst on active duty will be grieved by all those who knew him and his family.

He played in one of the most successful youth teams Abbey produced, playing predominately at no.10. Youth leagues and national competitions did not exist …
